Thank you for your interest of the Ballet Folklorico Costa de Oro. The BF Costa de Oro in partnership with the Vallesano Association for the Performing Arts have team up to promote, present and develope an appreciation for performing arts, in particular Mexican Folkloric Dance.
Founded in June 2009, the BF Costa de Oro is under the Direction of Steven J. KoneffKlatt, and assisted by Benny Murrietta Valles, Associate Director. Both bring over 30 years of Mexican Folk Dance experience. The dance studio of the Ballet Folklorico Costa de Oro is located in San Lorenzo, California, serving all of the San Francisco Bay Area. Classes for all ages are held at their dance studio located at 1466 Via Lacqua, San Lorezno, CA.
In just a short time of existence, the Ballet Folklorico Costa de Oro has been sought after for performances and dance education in local school districts in Alameda County and community colleges in Northern California and Central Arizona such as Gavilan College in Gilroy, and Central Arizona College located in Coolidge, Arizona. Just recently, the Dance Company was selected to perform for the upcoming 8th annual Oakland Raiders 8th Annual Fiesta Latina event celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month on September 27th, 2009 at the Oakland Alameda County Colisuem.
Our goal is to enhance and foster performance partnerships with diverse art and community based organizations offereing productions in dance, music and services to disadvantaged famlies and elderly residents inproving the over all quality of their lives.
